The non-resorbable membrane Cytoplast Non Resorb is indicated mainly for large bone defects and extraction sites. This membrane is very flexible and can be stretched in two directions and well adjusted. The membrane consists of 100% PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), a material which has proven to be absolutely bioinert. Considerable advantage is that a primary wound closure is not required. The membrane should not be perforated by sutures. The membrane is sufficient for wound coverage, it can remain exposed to the oral cavity. After 21 – 25 days, the membrane can be removed through a very small opening in one piece with a probe, an easy and quick procedure.
