The Bicortical screw implant was originally designed for single tooth replacement. Today, the indication includes also abutments for bridges and bar constructions in the edentulous anterior maxilla or mandible and as immediate insertion implant in fresh extraction sockets. The implant is also indicated for the early loss of incisors by accident and for absence of remaining teeth. The ideal use remains for single tooth replacement in the anterior region of both jaws.
