A dental implant is an artificial tooth root. Where normally the own root gives the tooth stability, the new “root” is inserted directly into the jaw bone, i.e. implanted.

In the same way as natural roots retain the teeth, implants can support either individual crowns or bridges over the complete jaw, or a bridge which is connected to the remaining natural teeth. This way, you will have fixed permanent teeth again.
